Tracy and Tina are two friends that met 19 years ago while picking out puppies from a litter.  These two litter-mate boys ended up creating a lifelong friendship between the two of us. We started traveling together to shows and agility trials.  It was during our many hours together that we decided to team up and build a hobby breeding kennel together and Iron Rose Aussies was born.  Our goal has always been to preserve the best of the Aussie breed and to breed our next performance or show dog.

Tracy lives in Peyton, Colorado with her husband Mike.   She is a college professor teaching anatomy and physiology.   She grew up in the horse world and developed a passion for horses and dogs from her father, who is a veterinarian.  They constantly had a dog along for all ranch and riding work.  Together with her husband they have boarded, trained, and raised quarter horses.  Over the years, she has spent hours at reining competitions, competitive trail riding, dressage shows and pleasure shows, and always with an Aussie.  Anything horse or dog related and you can count her in.  After many years of driving kids to practices, and competitions, and coaching high school volleyball, she is happy to spend more time with dogs and horses again. Another passion of hers is quilting.  She loves to make quilt portraits of dogs and horses.  She has shown her quilts at the state fair and also does some commission work for others.  Please check out the Quilt tab to see quilts done by Tracy and Tina.

Tina Bauhs, along with her husband Cappy, runs a respected dog herding business based in Hudson, Colorado. Their days revolve around working sheep and cattle with their talented dogs, teaching herding lessons, and traveling across the country to lead hands-on clinics for handlers of all experience levels.

TIna has a keen eye for canine talent and a natural ability to bring out the best in every dog she works with. Her journey with dogs began in California, where she got her first aussie. That early foundation gave her a deep understanding of structure, movement, and drive—skills that now play a key role in her approach to training and selecting top working dogs.

Tina and Cappy are dedicated to the working dog community. Whether at home in Colorado or on the road teaching, she brings passion, knowledge, and a lifetime of experience to everything she does.
